Our client is a well-known family company and a global quality-leader within its sector. The challenging and fast moving market environment that the company operates in demands superior commercial & brand management abilities as well as the proactive, innovative and responsible approach of its employees. In order to build and establish the new Polish entity, a dynamic business leader with a strong FMCG (non-food premium brand) and branding background is required. The future Country Manager shall act as a self-motivated intrapreneur within the company and as a reliable partner for sustainable brand building with strong ties to trade customers. The Job is based in the area of Warsaw with responsibility for the Polish (retail) market.

THE JOB

Principal responsibilities

  • Overall responsibility for the set up and growth of the Polish subsidiary (market position, premium brand management, stock-management etc.)

  • Develop local marketing & sales strategy in cooperation with the headquarters (based on an in- depth, internal Market research)

  • Hire and establish a high performance team (three to five FTE’s) and achieve ambitious results through clear leadership

  • Create (sales) structure and new market opportunities to enable a strong strategic position within the relevant retail-sector (online and offline)

  • “Be the brand”: act as brand ambassador and build a strong network to the main stakeholder (retail business, trade customer, communities etc.)

Requirements

  • University degree (business/market focus e.g. business economics or marketing management)

  • Several years of experience in leading/operating in an independent subsidiary (non-food FMCG)

  • Understanding of agile, multinational structures and state of the art know-how in brand positioning (offline and online)

  • Pragmatic goal orientation paired with strong hands-on abilities (market and organisational development)

  • Excellent Polish and English (spoken as well as written)

  • Strong leadership skills, proactive mindset and visionary character
