COMPANY PROFILE

Our Client is a recognised international healthcare/medical player operating in Poland. The company plans to diversify its business and establish a new Business Unit (medical services). An experienced executive will be hired to serve as Business Development Director/ Business Unit Head - he/she will be expected to build the new new division from scratch and drive its long-term profitable growth.

THE POSITION

Responsibilites

  • Leading the new business division's strategy development and its tactical implementation on the Polish healthcare market. Crafting and developing a corresponding business model. 

  • Identifying new business opportunities that are in line with the Company's long-term strategy concerning the division, managing business development projects and supervision over product offer design processes.

  • Participating in preliminary due diligence on specific opportunities to assess attractiveness and strategic fit potential, in collaboration with the relevant business managers and external, contracted advisors.

  • For an identified investment or acquisition target, present final recommendation as for the deal execution.

  • Post-merger integration of an acquired operations.

  • Working in partnership with other Board Members to build a common strategy to challenge the market and go one step beyond the competitive landscape. 

  • Building and leading the division team including medical staff.

  • Effective cooperation with external partners including Key Opinion Leaders.

  • Building and fostering a comprehensive customer value proposition. 

  • Responsibility for all activities leading to leveraging patients/doctors experience and increasing medical environment engagement:

                 - planning and coordination of awareness and educational campaigns.

                 - strategic guidelines and direction for training activities.

                 - measuring development actions and their impact on the patients’ conversion.

  • Full P&L accountability for a division performance (setting and tracking annual KPIs).

  • Systematic analysing and reporting of a business performance to HQ, recommending measures to drive business growth and enhance profit

JOB REQUIREMENTS 

Experience

  • Proven 10+ years of demonstrable, successful, and relevant experience in an executive function within healthcare/pharma/ medical services industry, ideally with strong business development component. 

  • Experience in start-up and/or M&A projects will be an advantage.

  • Experience in establishing and managing relationships with Key Opinion Leaders, good networking capabilities.

  • Diversified experience across various business models within medical and healthcare environment. 

  • Remarkable track record of designing and delivering successful business strategies from conception to completion.

  • Experience in operational management:

              Overall management responsibility.

              P&L responsibility.

              Keeping business profitable – ongoing effort through improvements affecting cost efficiency. 

              Ensuring adequate personnel management.

              Exploring synergies with other business divisions.

              Exploring and utilising new technologies to improve efficiency.

              Developing and maintaining an effective team.

  • Experience in business development:

              - Preparing and execution of expansion strategy.

              - Launching medical/diagnostics/rehabilitation centres or similar business operations in healthcare

                 industry e.g., new business division, unit or department.  

              - Sourcing and analysing up-to-date information on real estate developments and opportunities

                in the market, in line with expansion plans in the region.

  • Ability to translate patients’ trends/insights into successful offer of medical services with a high degree of creativity.

  • Proven ability to drive change. 

  • Well-developed project management capabilities.

  • Strong focus on numbers.

  • Proven track record of turning data into successful strategic and tactical business plans.

  • Working knowledge of data analysis and performance/operation metrics.

Education: Medical related education background; ideally MD degree
